Palatine accepting nominations for 2023 Hometown Pride Awards

Palatine is accepting applications through Friday, July 21, for its annual Hometown Pride Awards.

The village's Beautification Commission will honor residential and business properties that display attractive landscaping and have exceptional curb appeal. Judges will evaluate entries based on overall appearance, design, maintenance, color and diversity.

Categories include: single-family home; multifamily home; subdivision entrance/cul-de-sac island; business; and

"Doors of Palatine" (decorative front entrances of residential buildings that would include plantings, statuaries, pots and potted plants, etc.).

To enter, submit one photo taken within the last 30 days and a nomination form to the Public Works Department. Nominations must be received by Friday, July 21, and judging will take place on Monday, July 24.
