Letter: Abortion does end life

In a recent letter, Diane Niesman stated, "Abortion kills zero children. Abortion terminates a pregnancy."

There is no way to terminate a pregnancy without ending the life of a baby. The woman choosing the abortion does not want the child. If the baby survives the abortion procedure, it is not considered a successful abortion.

Abortion laws protect babies from a painful death. Abortion laws do work for the common good. The laws protect someone who might discover a cure for a widespread disease or invent a device to make life easier for people. In the future, there will be many jobs to be filled. We will need people to fill these jobs.
