Strawberry Fest returns to Long Grove this June
Sweet summertime fun returns when Strawberry Festival, an annual family tradition, takes over historic downtown Long Grove June 23-25.
The highlight of the summer fest season that has inspired thousands to turn out to Long Grove year after year for decades is upping the ante for 2023.
Attendees of all ages can expect three days of even more strawberry-infused foods and drinks, carnival rides, family activities, and live music on three stages. Tickets are now on sale through longgrove.org/festivals/strawberry-fest.
As always, the strawberry is the star attraction. Some of the area's most popular restaurants, cooks, and vendors use pop-up shops to serve unique strawberry-centric cuisine. Featured items usually include strawberry popcorn, strawberry jams, strawberry fudge, strawberry funnel cakes, strawberry smoothies, chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry doughnuts, strawberry shakes, strawberry ice cream, strawberry sundaes, and more.
A variety of non-strawberry-centric vendors will also be on hand dishing out other summertime delights.
For those who like to mix it up, Strawberry Fest 2023 features live music and family entertainment, too. Nonstop tunes on multiple stages, from solo acts on the Mill Pond Stage to the region's favorite party and tribute bands on the Main Stage, will electrify downtown Long Grove throughout Strawberry Fest weekend.
This year's fest is headlined by Kashmir (Led Zeppelin Tribute) on Friday, Dancing Queen (ABBA Tribute) on Saturday, and KennyLive (Kenny Chesney Tribute) on Sunday.
