Local fifth-grader wins state championship in Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition

Henry Leadaman won the Illinois state championship in the 2022-23 Knights of Columbus free throw competition in his age division.

From January to April, he bested all competitors at the council, district, regional, and state levels.

Henry Leadaman won the boys' 11-year-old age group. He made 24 out of 25 shots in the state and 23 out of 25 shots in the regionals.

He is a fifth-grader at Glen Ellyn's St. Petronille School. Henry represented St. Petronille Parish in Glen Ellyn in the contest.

The state championship was held in Effingham on April 16.

Henry plays basketball for the Glen Ellyn Titans and St. Petronille School teams.
