Christine Fenne named College of DuPage Board of Trustees chair

Christine Fenne was elected as chair of the College of DuPage board of trustees at the annual organizational meeting held April 27.

The Wheaton resident, who retained her seat in this month's election, previously served as vice chair and has held a variety of roles since being elected to a six-year term in April 2017. Fenne also served as board secretary, on the board's auxiliary and outreach committee, on the presidential search committee and as the board's strategic long range plan liaison. She also served as board chair in 2021 following the resignation of Frank Napolitano.

"I am excited to continue my service to the College of DuPage community and look forward to helping build the future of COD," Fenne said. "I thank my fellow trustees for their support and look forward to working on behalf of our students and their success."

In addition, Trustee Heidi Holan of Glen Ellyn was elected to serve a one-year term as board vice chair and newly-seated Trustee Andrew Manno of Aurora was elected to serve as board secretary.

Manno is a litigation attorney and will serve a six-year term. He replaces outgoing Trustee Daniel Markwell, who was recognized at the meeting for his service. The board also welcomed Student Trustee Ruju Rai of Bloomingdale.
