Letter: Balancing the budget
There are two ways to balance the budget: cut expenses or raise revenues.
The only way Republicans want to balance the budget is to cut benefits for the poor and middle class. I recommend that you tell the Republicans that the only way you want to balance the budget is by eliminating tax loopholes for wealthy individuals and corporations.
If that's not enough to balance the budget, make the top 1%, who have 40% of the wealth, pay current tax on their investment income. We could have a virtual utopia if they would just pay their fair share.
