Join 'Hidden Gems of Lombard' photo contest
The Village of Lombard is hosting its annual photo contest during Lilac Time with this year's theme, "Hidden Gems of Lombard."
The contest runs from May 5 through May 28. It is open to Lombard residents and visitors.
All photographers, whether amateur or experienced, are encouraged to submit their photos capturing the beauty of Lombard's hidden gems - the special places that make Lombard a unique and wonderful place to live, work and visit.
Whether it's a hidden park, a unique business, or a local landmark, we want to see the hidden gems that make Lombard shine.
Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, including the required release form.
Entries may be submitted digitally via e-mail to communications@villageoflombard.org or delivered on a USB drive to the Lombard Village Hall at 255 E. Wilson Ave.
Social media submissions will also be accepted but must include the #LombardHiddenGems hashtag to be considered.
Photographs will be judged by the Community Relations Committee, and winners will be contacted via email and announced on the village's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages on Friday, June 16.
The first-place winner will receive a gift card valued at $100, the second-place winner will receive a gift card valued at $50, and the third-place winner will receive a gift card valued at $25.
The winning photos will be featured on the village website, social media, and used in future promotional materials.
