Letter: HB 2789 only serves to persecute 'moral' people

According to its annual report, the University of Illinois at Chicago continues to rank Illinois as the third most corrupt state in the country. So it's not surprising that this backward and corrupt state becomes the first in the country to pass legislation (HB 2789) aimed at preventing so-called "book bans," which are not really book bans but are just efforts to keep inappropriate reading material from kids whose intellects aren't developed enough yet to distinguish propaganda from truth.

There are unscrupulous people who will try to take advantage of innocent kids and indoctrinate them.

These are bizarre times we live in, where the Democrats have values so upside down and regressive they believe it's OK to discriminate against, legally persecute and make into criminals decent, moral businesspeople merely because they don't want to cater to heterophobic homosexuals.
