Two appointments made to East Maine District 63 board

The East Maine District 63 school board appointed two new members Thursday night. Niles resident Maria Kuhlman and Morton Grove resident Jaini Mody were tapped to fill vacancies on the Des Plaines-based panel. One seat was open because no one ran for the two-year term in the April 4 election. The other was created by Walter Gluzkin's recent resignation, a district spokeswoman said. Both trustees' terms will end in spring 2025.
