Letter: Stop the warehouses

Please, no more ugly, concrete monstrosities in my neighborhood.

It's bad enough one is going up on Rodenburg and Irving Park and now the village of Schaumburg Economic Development Department wants to put another one or two buildings northeast of Rodenburg?

Take a look at the eyesore that is under construction on Irving Park Road in Roselle. The building is a huge concrete structure that blocks the view and is not a welcoming sight as you enter the city.

I often wonder what it's like to work in one of those windowless factories. Ugh. I thought we were moving past those days and cared about the work environment of employees. Unless the staff are computer servers, let in the sunlight.

I know that local governments need more revenue, but please put the brakes on "large warehousing operations."
