Buffalo Grove village engineer leaving for private sector job

The Village of Buffalo Grove announced that Village Engineer Darren Monico is leaving his post to join the engineering firm Gewalt Hamilton.
Monico has been with the village for 10 years. Village President Beverly Sussman thanked him for "all of the grants that he has gotten for the village, all of the hard work he has accomplished."
Monico thanked Village Manager Dane Bragg for hiring him and the village board for supporting him and the public works department. He also thanked public works staff, which "has been my family for 10 years."
