Fill A Heart 4 Kids buys delivery truck

The MolinaCares Accord, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Illinois, and Fill A Heart 4 Kids recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Fill A Heart 4 Kids delivery truck that will be used to transport food to local schools, approximately 500 boxes per week.

MolinaCares donated $50,000 to Fill A Heart 4 Kids in support of the new truck and food items to be distributed. Volunteers from the two organizations recently packed more than 500 boxes with a variety of nonperishable items.

"MolinaCares is committed to breaking down barriers that impact the health and well-being of those in our community," said Matt Wolf, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Illinois. "We are proud to partner with Fill A Heart 4 Kids to ensure our students have access to the food they need."

The truck will be used to deliver food in the Hanson Park area of Chicago.
