Aurora churches combine, celebrate first Easter as one

Two Aurora churches combined on Easter Sunday.

Advent Christian closed a 163-year-old ministry to join Redeemer Community Church, formerly of Oswego.

At Advent's invitation, Redeemer began afternoon services at Advent in August 2020.

The combined churches' Easter celebration opened with a hospitality period with refreshments provided by congregants.

An open house, "Celebrating the Past: Building the Future," is set for 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 6.

Congregants are invited to share.
