Letter: Make streets safe again

I am writing about your article of April 18, "Chicago officials respond to unruly crowds downtown."

What I saw on TV coverage showed nothing but a total riot, with punks out of control. This cannot go on. Police commanders shouting at each other in public view on who is in command. That is totally outrageous.

That said, the police officers to take control of the situation should have busted heads if needed. The prosecutors and the judges must help the police do their jobs. Make the streets safe again.
