Letter: Local endorsements, coverage very helpful

I recently subscribed to the Daily Herald to get in touch with local news. I get national newspapers, but that doesn't help with local elections.

Your endorsements in the April 4 election have been incredibly helpful. Have some strong opinions, but it was gratifying to see your evenhanded reporting. The interviews give us the kind of access few get. You provide an essential service to our democratic process. I am your grateful reader.
