Batavia businesses partner for spring fashion show

BATAVIA - House of 423 and Urban Style Salon will partner for the second time to stage a spring fashion show on Sunday, April 30.

The show will be held at Sturdy Shelter Brewing, 10 Shumway Ave., in Batavia. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. with the show beginning at 11 a.m. Tickets are $25, which includes the fashion show and one drink. Fernando's Street Kitchen will have breakfast tacos for purchase to enjoy during the event.

Sarah Whitt, owner and curator of House of 423, is celebrating her two-year anniversary and will be launching her private label clothing and jewelry line during the show. The House of 423 clothing line includes cashmere, washable silk and organic cotton tops and the jewelry line includes gold filled earrings and necklaces.

Urban Style Salon will be preparing models with spring trending hair and makeup. The husband-and-wife duo Gabe and Alex Sosa opened their salon in 2009 and focus on organic hair products including IN Beauty and Nuema and makeup from Five Petals.
