Wojnicki leads early over incumbent Tyrrell in race to be Campton Hills president
Challenger and former Kane County Board member Barb Wojnicki is off to an early lead in the Campton Hills village president race.
With more than 25 percent of precincts reporting at 8:30 p.m., Wojnicki leads incumbent President Michael Tyrrell, 1,113 votes to 592, according to unofficial results.
Tyrrell has been president since 2019. Before that, he was a village trustee.
Wojnicki spent 24 years on the county board until losing a Republican primary in 2022.
