Learn about native plantings at Wild Ones event April 11

Seasonal color and opportunities with native plants is the topic at the Lake to Prairie Wild Ones meeting, set for 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at the Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein.

Elly Flemming and Sarah Voska of Bluestem Ecological Services will discuss why it's important to garden or plant keeping all seasons in mind. Seasonal colors, textures/structures, movements, flowers, and food sources, spring and fall favorites, summer staples and winter warriors also will be discussed.
