Pino Farina Band is back at Rochaus April 8, this time with an audience

The last time alt-rockers Pino Farina Band played Rochaus in West Dundee, you could hear a pin drop.

That's because it was being live-streamed on stage during the pandemic and there was no audience due to safety restrictions.

"That was a really weird time for us," said Pino Farina, lead singer/guitarist for the band. "We'd put everything we had into the performance and after each song there was nothing, just silence. It was jarring. We really had to use our imaginations that the people at home watching were really diggin' it."

Still, they were grateful to be playing anywhere at a time when venues were shuttering their doors.

On Saturday, April 8, Pino Farina will be back on the Rochaus stage joined by his bandmates, John Cwiok (bass), Johnathan Schiller (drums & backup vocals), and Michael Poupko (guitar) playing their original songs and select covers. Also joining them will be guest keyboardist, John Tashjian. And an audience!

To further the celebration, Pino Farina Band will debut their new single, "Nobody's Home," a raw, achingly truthful song about love lost.

Released to all streaming services the day before, commemorative posters will be handed out to the first 100 people that arrive at Rochaus.

To further sweeten the deal, those who purchased a ticket before 4 p.m. on Friday, April 7, will be entered into a drawing to meet the band in the beautifully appointed green room before the show.

Finally, the cherry-on-top will be an early sneak peek at "Nobody's Home," the official video. It will premiere on YouTube on Saturday, April 8 at 10 a.m.

Special guest opener will be Local Motive. The doors at Rochaus, 96 W. Main St. in West Dundee, open at 7 p.m. with the show at 8 p.m.
