Letter: Antiquated policy harms seniors

I was really flabbergasted upon reading the article regarding the amount allocated to seniors on Medicaid who are living in nursing homes in Illinois. Why is it that Illinois is one of only four states at the cheapest rate of $30 monthly? Perhaps all our Illinois billionaires, and that includes our governor, should start spreading the wealth? We have some of the stupidest and most antiquated laws in this state, this being one of them.
