Barrington's White House hosts artwork of Cheryl Cook

The personal artwork of Cheryl Cook, best known as a courtroom sketch artist whose work has been seen in newspapers and on television, will be on display from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Barrington's White House, 145 W. Main St.

A painter and teacher, Cook draws her artistic inspiration from her vast experiences as an artist, starting at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City and continuing with her work in Chicago, creating packaging, movie and theater posters, and storyboards for advertising agencies.

The event is part of the White House's 3rd Thursdays Art Night Out series, which features local artist exhibitions. Works will be for sale, and complimentary appetizers and a cash bar will be available.
