Letter: School candidates with skill, experience

On April 4, voters in High School District 211 have a choice to make.

Fortunately, we'll have the opportunity to vote for four people who have real-world experience that will be an asset to our students and community as the district faces some real-world challenges.

To deal with the acute teacher shortage happening around us, incumbent Steve Rosenblum has successfully spent 30 years in various human resources leadership roles while Jane Russell has been very active in the Teacher Pipeline Project in Illinois to recruit more teachers.

In these demanding fiscal times, incumbent Kim Cavill has demonstrated during her four years on the board a firm commitment to keeping D211 one of the few debt-free school districts in the state. as a deputy director of a nonprofit organization, Michelle Barron has successfully managed multimillion dollar budgets.

So, on April 4 let's accept the offer of these four accomplished individuals to serve their community. Rosenblum, Cavill, Barron, and Russell have the experience it takes to keep our district responsibly moving forward.
