Letter: Mayor candidate has the skill of listening

Scott Wehrli has been immersed in the growth of his hometown for all of his 53 years. Throughout his life, I have witnessed his passion and kindness. He wants to listen to everything a person wants to say. Listening to a diverse population is a skill. Those conversations make us a community.

Naperville has become a destination city in no small part because of the men and women who have stepped up to listen. One hundred ninety-two years of growth navigating opportunity, disagreement, and celebration. It has taken strong public engagement and public/private partnerships led by many active voices. Scott has learned from the best.

Scott Wehrli is committed to the big picture with his thumb on the pulse of the present, guiding long-term decisions to build a better community today and seven generations ahead. Scott knows all about generations. He will be an excellent mayor.
