Letter: Lifelong college debt

My son chose to attend a private college and graduated owing $70,000. Then he decided to go to medical school and graduated 3 years later, now owing $270,000. He really has no hopes of ever being able to pay it off.

This type of loan is never mentioned by the media. Obviously $10,000 would not help him very much. He feels that what the medical school charged him is criminal.
