Letter: Our faith restored

On Saturday, Feb. 25, Arlington Cares and The Rotary Club of Arlington Heights partnered in support of local food banks to collect non-perishable items at the Vail Street Market Jewel. It was amazing to see the outpouring of support of the community in donating several thousand items. In addition, we received cash donations that Wheeling Township Food Pantry will use to restock depleted shelves. We hear a lot of talk about political division in our society but it restores our faith in humans when we join together to give to those less fortunate and struggling with everyday needs. Thank you to everyone who participated, you truly made a difference.
