AIT Worldwide Logistics expands to South Korea
ITASCA - Global freight forwarder AIT Worldwide Logistics said it opened its debut facility in Seoul, the first of several planned AIT offices in South Korea.
South Korea is the world's 10th largest economy, AIT said.
Expanding AIT's footprint to South Korea builds upon the company's existing reputation in the nation for pharmaceutical shipping excellence, said Wilson Lee, AIT's senior vice president, Asia.
"The strategic decision to open offices in South Korea is the culmination of years of experience successfully serving AIT customers shipping in this region," Lee said. "It's also a natural fit for our continued growth plans in not only the life sciences market, but the country's technology and industrial sectors, as well."
Equipped to provide freight forwarding services for air, sea and ground cargo, and primarily aimed at supporting the intra-Asia and U.S.-Korea trade lanes, the new AIT offices are in the heart of downtown Seoul, steps away from subway and bus transit.
