Letter: Politicians' loyalty should be to people

The Daily Herald recently published on Page 7 a report from The Associated Press stating that Kevin McCarthy had given a Fox News host access to Jan. 6 videos. When will the American people wake up and stop all politicians from doing stupid things?

McCarthy gives a TV host the surveillance footage of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol so his team can pour through the video and give his findings to his viewers, who does Tucker Carlson think he is, and who cares what his view is? He is a nobody when it comes to the evaluation of the attack.

A politician gets elected on total lies and is kept in office because a party needs his vote on future bills. That party does not care that he lied, all they care about is themselves and for sure not the people of the United States.

The time has come for the people of the United States to put a stop to all politicians that only care about themselves, their party and the votes to keep them in office and start helping the people that put them in office, and if anyone forgot who that is, that's us.
