Stealth Robotics advances to the FIRST Tech Challenge state finals Feb. 25 at ECC

In the world of robotics and engineering, the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a highly anticipated event that brings together aspiring engineers from all over the world to showcase their skills and creativity. This year, Stealth Robotics FIRST Technology Challenge Team 18255, a team made up of seven students from four high schools, is set to compete at the state level for the third time in three years.

These young innovators from Elgin Academy, Jacobs, Barrington and Johnsburg high schools have been working tirelessly over the past few months to design, build, and program a robot that can compete in the FTC competition.

The competition consists of a series of challenges that test the team's ability to design and build robots that can perform various tasks, such as collecting and moving objects, climbing, and navigating obstacles.

What sets Stealth Robotics 18255 apart from other teams is their approach to the competition.

The team members work together as a cohesive unit, each bringing their own unique skills and perspectives to the table. They are not only dedicated to building a top-performing robot, but also to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and mentorship.

The team's head coach, Kelley Berlin, says, "What I love about this team is their passion for learning and their willingness to help each other. They are constantly pushing the limits of what is possible and are never afraid to take risks and try new things."

This year, Stealth Robotics is ready to take their game to the next level.

With their robot, named "The Stealthinator," they are confident that they can perform at the highest level of the competition. The team's goal is to make it to the world championship, where they will have the opportunity to compete against the best teams from around the world.

The state competition is set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Elgin Community College. The team is ready to showcase their hard work and dedication to the world. With their innovative approach and commitment to excellence, Stealth Robotics is a team to watch out for in the world of FIRST Tech Challenge!

Stealth Robotics is a shining example of the next generation of engineers and innovators. Their passion for learning and their commitment to excellence is inspiring, and we can't wait to see what they will achieve in the future. Learn more about the team:
