Neil Simon's comedy 'The Odd Couple' opens on BrightSide Theatre stage Feb. 17

BrightSide Theatre continues with their "Season 10 Again - to Fully Celebrate our 10th Anniversary" with the classic Neil Simon comedy, "The Odd Couple."

Set in the apartment of divorcee Oscar Madison (Dennis Schnell of Oak Park), and if the mess is any indication, it's no wonder that his wife left him. Felix Unger (Jon Cunningham of Schaumburg), fastidious, depressed, and none too tense, has just been separated from his wife, and is looking for a place to stay. When the clean freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together, it does not take long for the pair's catastrophic incompatibility to come crashing down on their lives, to hilarious effect.

Other cast members include: Mike Mitchell of Aurora as Murray; Dylan Baxter of Downers Grove as Speed; John Zimmerman of Carol Stream as Vinnie; Victor Polites of Oak Park as Roy; and Gina Phillips of Schaumburg and Mary McGough of Chicago as the sisters Gwendolyn and Cecily Pigeon.

The production, led by director Jason Harrington, will be at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 17 to March 5, at the Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall at North Central College, 31 S. Ellsworth in Naperville.

Tickets, which are $33 or $28 for students and seniors, are on sale at www.brightsidetheatre.com, by phone at (630) 447-TIXS (8497), or at the box office before the performance.
