Begin Lent with 'Drive Through Ashes' at St. Hugh of Lincoln
On Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22, the Rev. Marion Phipps will offer drive-through ashes from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church in Elgin.
As a convenience to commuters and busy families, this is an opportunity for those unable to attend a traditional Ash Wednesday service to begin their Lenten journey with the imposition of ashes and a blessing from the Rev. Phipps.
Indoor Ash Wednesday worship services will be held in the sanctuary and on Zoom at noon and 7 p.m.
St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church is located on the southeast corner of Randall Road and Highland Avenue in Elgin. All are welcome.
