Letter: Columnist right about racial quotas

Michael Barone does an excellent job in explaining that diversity does not automatically mean racial quotas. And he exposes the inconvenient truth that standardized test scores matter in determining aptitude and the opportunity of success at highly selective universities.

There are those, primarily on the left, that want to eliminate standards and tests to create diversity without regard to quality or excellence. We all want our doctors to be qualified and most of us do not care if they have DEI training. And if you want to ruin professional sports, demand that the make-up of the teams "look like America."
