Buffalo Creek Brewing Announces Annual Festival Lineup

Lake County's destination brewery, Buffalo Creek Brewing, today announced its annual Big Four lineup of outdoor German-inspired beer festivals: Maifest, Bier Rock Fest, Oktoberfest, and Alpine Fest. Thousands are expected to flock to the sprawling, 2-acre grounds of Buffalo Creek to partake in the festivities. Owner Mike Marr encourages beer and music lovers to save the dates for the following (more info to be released on each event in subsequent release):

Maifest (May 12, 13): Germany's annual celebration of the arrival of spring, Maifest, comes to BCB for the first time this May, featuring new German beer releases, food trucks, games, and live music.

Bier Rock Fest (Aug 4, 5): BCB's picturesque biergarten will be transformed into one of the suburb's most electrifying music festivals with the advent of this brand-new fest, featuring two days of heart-pounding live music, summer suds, and thrilling games.

Oktoberfest (Sept 29, 30, Oct 1): The next best place outside of Munich for Oktoberfest are the giant Oktoberfest tents pitched outside BCB. Visitors will enjoy traditional Oktoberfest beer and food, authentic Oompah music, Bavarian games, and much more.

Alpine Fest: In January 2024, BCB's Alpine Biergarten Village, a concept straight out of Germany that features custom-made wooden warming lodges, draws people out of hibernation for winter gaming, live music, and cold beer (that gets colder the longer you hold onto it!).

Other Happenings Over the Next Month:

New Beer Launches: Feb 11, Mar 22

Each month, Mike brews new handmade beers to add to his extensive taproom menu.

Feb 11: Peanut Butter Cup Stout: An Imperial Stout, this recipe unites a sumptuously black stout with flavors of rich chocolate and peanut butter. From 12 to 4 pm on Feb 11, the taproom will feature complimentary 3 oz. samples of its Peanut Butter Cup Stout as well as homemade hot cocoa for children.

Feb 14: Black Hoof: Mike listened to his fans and is bringing back the original clear formula of his renowned Boysenberry-infused hard seltzer.

Mar 22: Rogan's Heroes: an authentic German Rye Ale made with Caraway seeds lending itself to a bittersweet flavor with hints of anise and citrus.

St. Pat's Beer & Waffles Party: Mar 17, 18

BCB pays tribute to the Emerald Isle on St. Patrick's Day weekend with two days dedicated to partying like the Irish, with live Irish folk music, (green) hand-crafted beer, and freshly-made, savory Belgium waffle pairings to keep everyone sustained and giddy like happy little leprechauns! Brewery and biergarten doors will open early for this multi-day St. Patty's blowout.

Pint of Music Concert Series: Feb 11, 18, 25, Mar 4, 11

BCB's Pint of Music concert series continues with some of the most talented local artists in the area, without a cover, from 6 pm to 9 pm, indoors or outdoors on the Alpine Biergarten Main Stage (if weather permits). Over the next month, BCB will feature: Feb 11" Mother of all Duos, Feb 18: The Rusken Bros., Feb 25: Micah Olsan, Mar 4: Alan Synder, Mar 11: Sam Rosewald.

Food Truck Pop-Up Night: Mar 3, 23, 24

Similar to its popularity for live music on weekends, BCB has also become synonymous with food trucks, with some of the most popular names rolling through the biergarten most weekends from 5 pm to 8 pm to fuel all appetites. Over the next month, look for the following four-wheel kitchens to roll through: Mar 3: Bunny Chow (South African Street Food), Mar 23: Happy Lobster, Mar 24: Fork n' Fry.

Yoga & Beer Happy Hour: Feb 15, 22, Mar 1, 8

Join BCB Wednesdays at 6:00 pm for Yoga & Beer Happy Hour and Sundays at 11:00 am for The Morning Stretch. Instructed by Mindset Yoga with fresh beer provided by BCB. Participants will enjoy a great workout and a cold beer afterwards. This is a ticketed event; visit BCB's website for more details.
