Steel Beam Theatre to put on 'Miscast Cabaret' Feb. 17-18

Steel Beam Theatre in St. Charles will present "Miscast Cabaret" on Feb. 17-18.

In a miscast cabaret, performers select roles they wouldn't normally be considered for with sometimes hilarious, sometimes thought-provoking, always incredible results.

The performers and their chosen roles include: Nancy Witzke as Jean Valjean from "Les Misérables"; Genevieve Kai as Jack Kelly from "Newsies"; Olive Payne as Sammy; Lauren Reece as Ricky; Gina Kovanich as Donkey from "Shrek" and Orin from "Little Shop of Horrors"; Annie Beaubien as Scar from "Lion King" and Jimmy; Jeff Harding as Belle from "Beauty & the Beast" and Janis Ian from "Mean Girls"; and Emily Luedloff as Gaston from "Beauty & the Beast."

The 75-minute show will be two nights only at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the theater, 111 W. Main St.
