Letter: Don't count on common sense from politicians
As a very long-time subscriber to the Daily Herald, I look daily at your Opinion page to see if any letters to the editor are within my interests. The article titled "A Social Security fix," by Paul Compton, Geneva, immediately interested me.
In his first sentence, he used the two words that have no meaning to politicians. Sadly, they are: COMMON SENSE.
The author of the short piece succinctly pointed out that millionaires are robbing poorer folks. Unfortunately, the folks who pass Social Security laws are the recipients of monetary contributions from millionaires.
Nice try, writer of the letter, but the above-mentioned politicians will only laugh at common sense.
