Letter: No embarrassment
Having read the recent and continuing revelations concerning New York's newly elected congressman, one must see the similarity to a recent ex-president/so-called business titan, who also came from the same state of New York.
Hearing all the exaggerations, falsehoods and embellishments, that Mr. Santos, or whatever his real name is, has spewed over the past years, one cannot help but to wonder if there was some connection to the 45th president, who has proven himself to be on a level few have reached in terms of the number of falsehoods (fake news) spoken in his years of seeking public attention.
The only difference, thus far seems to be that Mr. Santos appears to at least admit to some of these embellishments. Yet like the 45th president, he finds no embarrassment, nor reason for concern in continuing to spew these falsehoods or their effect on his future job performance on behalf of his constituents.
And it appears thus far, that leaders of their political party find no reason to dissociate themselves from this type of rhetoric or the individuals spewing these falsehoods.
