Theater companies to stage Raggedy Ann and Andy play

ArtReach Educational Theatre, in partnership with Spotlite Theatrix Production Company, is staging "The Adventures of Raggedy Ann and Andy" at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, and Saturday, Feb. 4, at Christ Lutheran Church, 41 S. Rohlwing Road, Palatine.

In the toy room of Marcella lives Raggedy Ann and Andy, two adorable little dolls with hearts of gold. With the help of their friends, they embark on adventures and learn valuable life lessons.

The show is directed by Kevin Foss of Palatine, with assistant direction by Dan Walsh of Des Plaines.

The cast includes: Kayla Williams (Wood Dale) as Raggedy Ann; Lincoln Gersh (Rolling Meadows) as Raggedy Andy; Chole Williams (Wood Dale) as Babette; Madison Williams (Palatine) as the Camel with the Wrinkled Knees; Edlyna Talla (Hanover Park) as Suzy Pin Cushion; Lauren Gerard (Palatine) as Witch Wigglewart and a Twin Doll; Giuliana Pearson (Mount Prospect) as a Twin Doll; Silvanna Biasi (Mount Prospect) as Greedy; Madeline Baker (Rolling Meadows) as King Koo Koo; Neera Agaton (Mount Prospect) as Prince Leonard the Lion Hearted; Memphis Gersch (Rolling Meadows) as Mechanico and Lester Looney; Giovanna Biasi (Mount Prospect) as the Baldheaded Whizzer; and Ella Williams (Palatine) as Grandma.

The mission of ArtReach Educational Theatre is to expose children to all aspects of theater, music and dance.

Children age 5 through high school, from beginner to advanced performing levels with a genuine interest in the arts, are accepted into the program.

ArtReach offers private voice lessons, dance and acting classes, advanced musical theater workshops and Summer Arts Camp programs in Palatine.
