Letter: Ego won out

As I watched the House of Representatives votes for a speaker, I heard all the things they want to accomplish. Before they get to new business of impeaching President Joe Biden, Faucci, Hunter Biden and the select committee, I would like to see the new health care plan that they were ready to role out during the Trump years.

Kevin McCarthy probably has no chance of success and will probably fall into a Newt Gingrich, John Boehner, Dennis Hastert, Paul Ryan role of failures. Say what you will of Nancy Pelosi, but she kept it together and accomplished many things for this country. She didn't lose the House twice. The voters chose to see a change and went back to the Democrats.

Do the Democrats have their flaws? Yes, they do, but they try to get it right. Right now with the current Republican factions it's ego all the way.
