Letter: Too few columnists are really stimulating
Ah, syndicated columnists. Pretty much a group of dull, witless, highly partisan, preaching-to-the-choir newspaper writers taking daily jabs at "the other side." Zzzzz.
Remember the good old days of Mike Royko? Fearless and funny. Especially funny, which made us both laugh and think. Played no favorites, regardless of political party. And how many times would we ask our friends: Did you read Royko today?
I read several newspapers each morning. This is not just a Daily Herald issue. Few columnists out there stimulate both my intellect and funny bone. I wish there were more.
