Letter: The real danger to democracy: censorship

The Your Views section of the Jan. 4 Daily Herald included a letter denouncing Byron York's columns as "adding to the nation's divisions." This is not the first letter denouncing Mr. York, and other conservative columnists, as being "divisive." Do these letter writers also believe that liberal-leaning columnists are "divisive?"

Or is the issue that opinions the letter writer does not share are "divisive"?

The real danger to democracy is the goal of these letter writers - censorship of opinions that they do not share.
