Letter: Trump tax returns were overplayed

It is inconceivable to me that the Daily Herald displayed a large front-page article Dec. 31 on the released tax records of Donald Trump and puts the article about the murdered Idaho college students on Page 2. This paper continually shows its deep Democrat bias.

As one of the few conservative citizens living in Illinois, and being a longtime accountant and auditor in industry, I find no error or crime committed with President Trump's tax reports. What other company in America does not use all avenues and methods to reduce tax expense? And this applies to every person who must pay taxes as well.

I think the Herald should focus on the crony misdeeds of our own Illinois elected officials in recent times and for many years past.

Democrats have been trying to trash President Trump since before he took office in 2017. They are still trying with a corrupt DOJ, FBI and House Select Committee. Won't it be interesting when the Hunter and Joe truths finally come to light?

Follow the facts, not ideology.
