Church to host trivia night to benefit Fox Valley Habitat

Oswego Presbyterian Church will host a trivia night to benefit Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity.

After a hiatus due to COVID, the event will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. at the church, 1976 Route 25 in Oswego. The public is invited.

Admission is $10 per person.

Teams of 6 to 10 players will compete. Players can sign up with friends, family, or small groups.

Proceeds will be used to buy building supplies for Habitat projects.

Founded in 1988, Fox Valley Habitat is a nondenominational housing ministry based at Genesis Community Church in Montgomery.

Since its founding, Habitat has built or rehabbed 69 homes housing about 200 persons in Aurora, North Aurora, Batavia and Montgomery.

Offering a hand-up not a handout, Habitat partners with low-income families in need of affordable housing.

In addition to offices at Genesis, Habitat maintains a warehouse at 250 S. Highland Ave. in Aurora.

Fox Valley Habitat is an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, an international Christian housing ministry.
