You can retool this classic recipe with these substitutions and add-ins.

Fruits: Pitted dried apricots, prunes or dates

Stuffings: Asiago, blue, Fontina, goat, Boursin or Gorgonzola, Manchego, cured Spanish chorizo, blanched almonds, Macadamia, Marcona almond, pecan half

Wrappers: Bacon or prosciutto

Finishers: Paint or drizzle with maple syrup or honey and you can mix in chile powder, garlic, Sriracha or chile paste

Puddlers: Dip in apple sauce, chutney, or equal parts prepared jam and balsamic vinegar
