Letter: Big 'oops' coming

Today's government personal and corporate debt is $75 trillion. The current trajectory is for the naional debt to reach $175 trillion by 2050. I don't know what the solution is, but it won't be good.

The next nightmare will be population growth. Today's total is 350 million. That's up 100 million since 1990. Title 42 ends next week at the border. This could permit 6.5 million people to enter the U.S. next year. It's possible the population could grow to 500 million-plus by 2050.

What will this do to the government climate ambitions? Well, you will have 200 million poor people that can't afford to buy a $100,000 electric car. How much additional energy will have to be produced to house, feed and transport the population growth? Our current government is living in La La Land. Joe Biden Executive Order 14051. Achieve a carbon pollution-free electrical sector by 2035 and a net zero emissions by 2050.

Also, there never will be a battery big enough to lift an airliner.

The last nightmare will come after the government bans oil and natural gas. There won't be enough energy to power the country. Look for a big oops from the government.
