Holiday tree-lighting event Friday in Libertyville
A holiday tree lighting event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Cook Memorial Park, at Milwaukee and Cook avenues in downtown Libertyville.
Mayor Donna Johnson will introduce the Butterfield Chorus Club, Highland Middle School Chorus, and Libertyville High School Jazz Band for musical entertainment.
Santa arrives at 7 p.m. to light the village tree.
