Letter: Voters saw through Republicans' strategy

I'm guessing that Michael Barone wishes he could take back his column on the midterm elections. He gets it wrong in the very first sentence by claiming "this election was a repudiation of Donald Trump and Joe Biden."

Haha.

If he would have stopped there, at least he would have been half right, Instead, he goes on to claim that the Democratic vote only held up in "glitzy neighborhoods packed with white college students."

That's no way to broaden the appeal of the Republican party.

The fact is that the Republicans offered little in the way of concrete proposals and thought they could win by running on crime and demonizing the Democrats.

Thank goodness, the American people saw through the lies and voted for democracy and personal freedom.
