Letter: Reflections of a soon-to-be former voter

As I approach my 74th year on this earth, I decided this will be my last so-called "election," I will vote no more, let the younger people suffer the slings and arrows. I would like to pen my comments about this last fiasco.

Contrary to popular belief, candidates did not have much to say about their platforms. Some ,did but the vast majority did not. This whole process was controlled and mediated by our national news media channels, including this one. Once upon a time when "journalism" had credibility and fairness, voters made their decisions based on facts provided to them by the media. No longer true.

The current media is so corrupt and biased toward one side or the other that a fair election is now impossible. One has to be blind not to have seen the media bias against any Republican, but all the tender, loving care for all Democrats.

We don't need any Russian, Chinese or any other interference in our elections. Just pick up our papers or watch our news channels. Unless something is done to re-create journalism as it was in the days of Walter Cronkite and similar, fair elections are a thing of the past, and quite meaningless.
