Letter: School involvement

The call is for more money for programs to serve the underserved. Good and well stated in a recent Your View opinion.

Consider also those in the field of education. To what end is there committed effort by parents/guardians to support staff and teachers? Students are engaged in school lessons and activities for about six hours daily. What goes on after that?

Maybe take a teacher home to ensure ongoing interaction and completion. Good luck with that. Neither side of the process to help students build their future can do what is challenging alone.
