Letter: True local service

In its endorsement of Fred Crespo for state representative on Oct. 14, the Daily Herald talked about his support from leaders in his district - ignoring any party affiliation.

Our voting records have never mattered to Rep. Crespo; he helps us accomplish whatever our communities need by carrying the load in Springfield for all his constituents. Rep. Crespo was key to the success of the Barrington Road full interchange and the Roselle Road full interchange. He carried the load for the building of the St. Alexius Women's and Children's Hospital wing.

Fred Crespo's continuing support was essential for the creation of the Northwest Suburban Welcoming Center. His support to help us establish the Elgin Community College - Harper College Education and WorkNet center was second to none.

That site makes a difference in all our communities. Fred's support for youth has been extensive.

His collaboration among our Villages is extensive and appreciated - always taking a call and assisting wherever possible.

We are mayors of our respective villages, and we strongly support Fred Crespo for reelection as state representative. His character is unquestioned. His dedication is admirable.
