Letter: Issue-oriented, independent candidate for House

I would like to voice my support for Michele Hunter, candidate for Illinois state representative. Michele Hunter is a woman of character and integrity who has decided to run for state representative in the 54th District replacing outgoing state Rep. Tom Morrison. Arlington Heights, Palatine, Buffalo Grove, and Prospect Heights are all a part of the newly drawn district.

I believe her independent, issue-oriented approach to problems we all face, like high taxes, crime and an infringement by the state on parental rights is exactly what we need in Springfield. She is deserving of serious consideration in this upcoming election.

The party in power in Springfield does not need to be given more power by sending yet another Democrat who will toe the party line dictated by Chicago Democrats. Let's vote for change in Springfield and new leadership. Vote for Michele Hunter.
