No residents displaced after early morning apartment fire in Wheeling

No injuries were reported and no residents were displaced after a fire inside a Wheeling apartment early Thursday.

Firefighters were called to the six-story apartment complex on the 500 block of Manda Lane just after 3:30 a.m.

Residents complained of smoke on the third floor and firefighters were able to locate the unit with the fire and extinguish the blaze in less than an hour.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
